VOR and which serves primarily to provide approach and holding guidance for aircraft, and within 60 meters from the center of the VOR antenna in the case of other types of DME.
t)Two sets of transmitters and receivers shall be provided so that either set can be used by switching over when necessary.
u)A dummy antenna shall be provided.
v)A standby isolated power unit shall be provided.
w)Monitoring equipment shall be provided.
x)The monitoring equipment shall consist of a system which is designed to provide information to the designated control points as soon as possible, within a limit of 10 seconds, when any of the following situations shall continue for more than 4 seconds, with additional function of switching over to the standby transmitter or receiver, the further function of terminating the transmission of DME when the said situation persists even after switching over to the standby equipment.
(i)Failure to meet the requirements prescribed under item f) for the response delay time to an interrogation signal the peak envelope power of which is equivalent to the maximum sensitivity plus 6 dB.
(ii)A fall in the antenna output power to less than 50 percent.
(iii)A malfunction in the monitoring function of the monitoring equipment
itself.
(y)The number of pulse pairs transmitted by the monitoring equipment shall not exceed 120 per second.
2. In the case of air navigation radio aids which does not comply with the standards under the preceding paragraph due to topographical features or other unavoidable reason(s), and which are so recognized by the Ministry of Transport, the criteria specifically designated by the Minister of Transport may be applied.
(Application for Completion Inspection of Construction Work)
Article 100. A person who intends to undergo the inspection for completion of the construction work on air navigation radio aids in accordance with the provisions of Article 42 (Completion Inspection) paragraph 1 of the Law shall submit to the Minister of Transport an Application for Completion Inspection of Construction Work of Air Navigation Radio Aids, describing the following matters:
(1)Name and address;
(2)Types and location(s) of the air navigation radio aid(s);
(3)Date of completion of the construction work.
2. The provisions under the preceding paragraph shall apply accordingly to the Application for Completion Inspection of Modifications to Construction Work of Air Navigation Radio Aids under the provisions of Article 42 paragraph 1 of the
